Italian Provenzale Ceramic Ashtray by Aldo Londi for Bitossi. This pieces was commissioned by Rosenthal Netter for USA distribution. Aldo Londi is a highly collected and regarded Italian ceramic artist known for his simple and elegant shapes and rustic clay styles. Hand painted flowers in shades of green, black and brown decorate the inside of the piece.

This piece is a little roughed up as you can see from photographs. We believe this only adds to its charm. Though there are some areas where the paint has chipped away of the decades there are no burn marks or other discolorations. The bottom felt is intact to protect you table tops from scratches.
