Hand-blown Tawny Accent Parlor Glass - set of 4
Hand-blown Tawny Accent Parlor Glass - set of 4
Crafted by hand in the 1970s. These beautiful colored brownish-tinted glass cups are the perfect parlor cup for everyday use. They were originally intended for use as informal water cups but they also make great cocktails and wine glasses.
This silhouette has a squared bowl and short stem with a wide thick base. Perfect low profile for less tipping and spillage! The sturdy glass of this era was made to last and these have already stood the test of time. The bottoms of these cups show a signature puddling of hand-blown pieces.
We have found the original ad for this collection and you’ll see that from their origin they were made in the USA for heavy use and informal lifestyles of the age. This was from an era when young people and housewives were shucking conformity and overwhelm of complicated table tops and wanted one set that could do it all.
